Within Florida intercollegiate athletics for both men and women are widespread and diverse. The University of Florida, University of Miami, and Florida State University football teams have garnered the greatest national attention. A number of post-season bowl games are played in the state. Most institutions have baseball, basketball, soccer, golf, tennis, track, softball, swimming, and volleyball teams. Several institutions have had outstanding women's softball and volleyball teams, and the University of Florida's women's swimming team almost always enjoys national recognition. Jacksonville University has men's and women's riflery teams. Rollins College has water skiing teams as well as a coeducational sailing team.
